CAMPO AL SALICE

CAMPO AL SALICE

At Corte Quaiara there are still some old Garganega vines that were planted by my grandfather. Garganega is a typical local variety and is grown throughout the Verona area. The first time I tried vinifying it on its own, I was amazed and fascinated by the character of this grape, which is capable of being at once forthright and profound, and whose personality remains vibrant even with the passing of time. I decided, out of respect for the genuineness of this wine, to give it the name of the field (“campo”) where this old vineyard lies.
