MONTE DELLE SAETTE

Goldtraminer is variety that is rarely grown in Italy. I have always been fascinated by its little golden, scented bunches, but the time when I understood how to really take advantage of the characteristics of this aromatic cultivar was on an illuminating trip to Alsace and Austria. I blended it with my Pinot Grigio, an ancient clone with tiny berries, and with Cortese, a grape that is typical of this area. That’s how I created Monte delle Saette which, for me, is like a storm on a summer’s day: it surprises and refreshes you, releasing a whole host of different fragrances into the air.
